I am for driving around with the sunroof open and the sun beating down and warming me,
I am for my Ipod on shuffle so loud that I can't hear myself speak.
I am for my Ipod on shuffle so loud that I can't hear myself speak.
I am for the first right foot push on the gas as I accelerate down the street,
and I am for making my way to the shore, passing exit signs as I ride along.
I am for the first step in the hot sun-heated sand,
and I am for hearing the wave's crash and watching people drifting out.
I am for the piercing noise that comes from the boardwalk from the kids on the rides,
and from the dinging noise from someone just winning a prize..
And I am for laying down and relaxing and clearing my mind,
and I am all for those long summer days that turned into nights
I really liked how you used different fonts! My favorite line is the last one. It ends the poem really well.
ReplyDeleteYeah I was trying to be somewhat creative haha. Thank you Eliza! :)
ReplyDeleteI really love how you use the journey to the shore to describe you and how the day seems so noise but then it closes with you relaxing. I really love the two last lines.
ReplyDeleteThank you! :)
